THE SEAL OF MERCY

Despite hearing the evil and the calamity that will fall upon the Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot still hesitated in taking steps that will save him and is family’s life…the scripture says he lingered! Genesis 19:16

“…But he hesitated. Because of the LORD's compassion for him, the men grabbed his hand, his wife's hand, and the hands of his two daughters. Then they brought him out and left him outside the city.

King James 2000 Bible
“...And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him outside the city…”

In the same manner, there are many who still linger in the land which they are not supposed to be anymore. Many are still dwelling in the realm of past victories and fail to understand that it is time to move forward to the next level of impart and manifestation in ministry ,career, relationship and family.

I used the word “anymore” because, there are some who God brought to the land where they are right now but fail to move to the next level with the thinking that “…since it was God that brought me to this point, then its ok to stay here forever…”

Also Micah 2:10 reveals the same errors of many:

New International Version
“…Get up, go away! For this is not your resting place, because it is defiled, it is ruined, beyond all remedy…”
King James Bible
“…Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction…”

Looking at the above scripture, the land was once his resting place but later defiled.

Even as we are in the beginning of a new year, there are some who are on their way to be wasted in the year. Yes, they have girded themselves up with all manners of prayers, prophesies, business plans and great visions…but they linger like Brother Lot…refusing to take steps and dive into the ocean of revelation received to manifest. But thus says the sovereign God “…this season you will not be wasted like previous seasons and you shall manifest in the name of Jesus…”

Lot enjoyed what I call the “seal of Mercy upon is life” because Abraham had interceded for him. Despite being told, he lingered…. But by the “seal of Mercy upon is life” trough Intercession; Angels went an extra mile on his behalf. According to the scripture, they literally dragged him and his family out of the city. Normally, the instructions and warnings he was given should have been adequate for him, nevertheless, he toyed with divine revelation.

Maybe you are at this juncture in your life, where in spite of all the information you have and resources made available to you, you’re still messing up probably due to the fear of the unknown or what people will say or what mummy/daddy will say “…this season the seal of mercy shall come upon you and speak for you in the mighty name of Jesus.

The seal of Mercy moved him by force into is inheritance and did not allow him to waste.

Now, understand this, that if Lot who has no portion in the promise could enjoy such privilege, for we are the seed of Abraham in Christ Gal 3:29, how much more we who are the beneficiaries of the covenant.

Receive this seal in the name of Jesus.
